Please read all the way to the end and
then DO SOMETHING!
Dear Friends,
I would like to take a few minutes out of your day to talk to you about something that is dear to both of us. Sex Offender issues, I am a mother to a RSO, so this is very dear to me on how the public views my son, and other like him. I got involved with Arkansas Time After Time so that I might be able to make changes in the laws. I quickly learned that I can’t change the laws that are already in place. What I have learned is with ATAT standing beside me, WE might be able to stop new bills from becoming a law.
With ATAT, We are here to make changes, I was fired up and ready to go talk to our Legislator. What happen to my fire? My fire is dying out. We had our meeting this Sunday. Only 13 people plus 3 guest showed up. I need more WOOD (people) to keep my fire going. I need to know that what ATAT is doing if going to be appreciated. I need to know that I will have people writing letters, making phones call, going to meet with their legislator person; And I need to know YOU will be there on the step of the Capital come Jan 2013, to either be a speakers or to show up in numbers.
I need to know that I-ATAT is not in this alone. YOU might be seating there thinking that right now the laws are not that bad, you are doing just fine.
What IF a new bill is introduce that put ALL RSO address and information online?
What IF a new bill is introduce that won’t allow any RSO have a computer or internet access?
What IF a new bill is introduce that won’t allow any RSO to rides his/her bike on a bike trail, won’t allow a RSO to walk on a trail?
Won’t allow a RSO to go into a library? Go fishing in a lake or pond? What would happen to your life then? Will you start fighting beside me then AFTER this bill become law? Guess what…. that will be too late to start fighting AFTER it become law.
I-ATAT needs you NOW, When are you going to start helping us to help YOU? I am in this fight for my son and all RSO. The 5 of us on the Board of ATAT are fighting for themselves or a love one and YOU. We need YOU.

No time to help? Then donate some money. Everything is purchases, stamps, gas, paper, etc,, comes out of our pocket. I’m selling my own personal oil painting, knitting and pottery that I make, so I can raise money for ATAT.
No money? Then write those letters, tell you story, how the law is making it hard for you-or love one to get ahead, to prove to society you or-love one is a great person if only giving the chance. Come to the meeting so I-ATAT knows that you are in this with us.
There is plenty of things that need to be done. And it makes no sense for me – ATAT to do all the work for YOU to have a better life while doing nothing to help us out.
